Hi Braydon, Thank you for submitting feedback for us. It only helps us to do better. It is very common that apartments that are toured can immediately be leased by someone else. We do not hold apartments that we are touring as we have no way to prevent someone from leasing a unit on-line without our immediate knowledge of it. We try very hard to be fair with the leasing process. I agree that our valet trash service was becoming unreliable and have had multiple meetings over the past few weeks with the company to work to rectify the situation. I do believe as a whole pick-up has become better throughout the community. In an email sent to the residents after the tornado I only suggested that hotel stays and food spoilage might be covered by your insurance company. I never said it was a guarantee. "Now may be a good time to reach out to your insurance provider and see if they will cover hotel expenses. I also suggest to start cleaning out food from your refrigerator as to prevent spoiling. As mentioned previously many insurance companies will also cover the cost of loss food." I relayed that some people had reached out to their insurance provider and they were told they would receive coverage. The fact that the companies then didn't cover the claims is on them. I was only trying to relay information. We do have a fairly strict policy for packages as a community of 244 units receives roughly 60-80 packages daily. We simply do not have the storage capacity to hold all these packages or man-power to handle so many packages and with only 40 lockers we do need them emptied in a quick manner. Our package system has the option for vacation mode so that you do not have packages delivered, and therefore incur fees, if you are going to be gone and unable to retrieve your packages. We are always happy to help you set this up if you are unable to do so. And yes, the room is still not complete as the tornado last week set us behind on quite a few items. We're working to catch up as quickly as we can! Yes, one of three garage doors that we have has not been working. The main entrance has been working properly for the most part with exceptions when our access was affected by a nearby lightening strike and when residents have hit and damaged the gate. The second door is a convenience and not a necessity and therefore wasn't made a priority though we have consistently been working with gate companies to acquire bids, order parts, coordinate schedules, etc. to get the gate fixed. Once again, the storm put a damper on completing this fix which is about a week away. I do not see a work order for your dishwasher. I'm happy to have the maintenance team come up and look into your dishwasher to see what can be done to fix that. I hate to hear that you think our service is sub par. We do strive to work hard for our residents and make this a great place to call home. Again, thank you for your feedback and I hope this response helps to answer some of your questions.

From the beginning we have felt like we were misinformed. We were shown an apartment that after we left was told that apartment was no longer available. Being that we left town and felt like the rooms would be similar we decided to go with it. The trash valet system, which you pay for in rent regardless, has Sunday- Thursday hours, which we found was annoying as our heavy trash days were the weekends. On top of that, the company was quite unreliable and would not come fairly often. For those reasons, we have used the service a total of 3 times. We were told the insurance company that The Monroe endorses would cover hotel and lost food from the tornado, which was also misinformation. The Monroe has a strict mail policy where the package concierge charges you for mail storage after 3 days; with that being said, they have built a new mail room to expand those services (thats not open yet). Additionally, the garage doors have been broken the entire time we have been here. The dishwasher doesnt do the best at cleaning dishes. The pool only gets sun for a few hours. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and boutiques though! Overall, the apartments are fairly nice, but the service is anything but luxury.

The Monroe charged my college student exorbitant fees upon her moving out. Not only did they charge her and her roommate bogus fees but they didnt contact them about the fees and sent the charges to a collection attorney and reported it on their credit report. So, in the end it cost us the deposit plus an additional $1,000 upon leaving The Monroe. When I tried to call them to discuss this they would not speak to me and only referred my daughter to the attorney. They clearly are taking advantage of young students in the Nashville area, so be careful signing any lease with this company! I recommend against it.

There are a few things I wish I would have known prior to moving here which would have made me strongly question my decision to live here. The Good - The current staff is friendly - The current staff host fun monthly community events - The laundry room in the apartment is very nice - The location is great - The closets are great The Not so Good - There are a ton of hidden fees and communication is not great - When moving in I was told to use the alley for the moving truck. When I was moving out the movers got a ticket for parking there for less than an hour. When I brought this to the attention of the staff I was told that it's a risk everyone has to take moving. They remembered the leasing agent telling people to use the alley to move and that was it's purpose. They said that to ensure you don't get a ticket you have to write in to the TN Department of Traffic for a lease to park there to move in. This was NEVER communicated to me. I was told an email went out. I checked my email and there was not an email that went out. The response from the staff was "sorry, it happens all the time". There is not a place for your moving truck to park. - They use your deposit to put in new carpet after each resident. I was told everyone gets charged the "cleaning" carpet fee. This was never communicated to me when moving in that this was a standard additional cost. They also charge for closing out your account and take it out of your deposit. - After moving in they decided to charge $50 dollars a month for parking spaces in the garage. There were a few spots available that were not reserved but often you had to park on the very top of the garage. - There were constant reports of cars being broken into that were parked in the parking garage. The advice was to "lock your doors". - They regularly had Dad's towing going through the garage and booting cars. It made we wonder what kick back they were getting from the towing company. - The trash was a constant issue at this place. They had valet trash that sometimes would come or not. They had a standard Sunday - Thursday by 8 pm schedule but sometimes they would skip days without a notice. This would make the halls smell terrible. - The electrical in the apartment was not great. It didn't really matter how much you changed the temperature it was always very warm in the apartment. There were also plugs that did not work. - Luckily I did not have any maintenance issues but did have to put in a request when a treadmill was down for over a month.
